How to Volunteer to Host a Ride

Password Information

1. You must have a username and password to volunteer to host a ride.
2. If you do not have, don’t remember, or wish to change your password:

• Go to http://bicyclistsofiowacity.org; this brings up the Home page
• Click on Member Login — (towards the upper right)
• Forgot user name/password
• Email address and first name
• You will receive a temporary password via email
• Re-enter Member Login using the temporary password and follow instructions

How to Volunteer to Host a Ride

1. Go to http://bicylistsofiowacity.org (Home page), and then login.
2. Click on Volunteering.  A list of all ride dates will show under Volunteering Opportunities.
   
   
   
   
3. Scroll to see rides (green circle with hand). Some are Full (indicated), others are open.
4. Select a ride of interest that does not say Full.
5. Click on Event—(ride name is in blue), which opens a description and link to the map. On this page, Ride Sign-Up Sheets may be accessed and printed.
   
   
   
   
6. If you decide to host this ride, click on the Volunteer! button (to right, gray box). This takes you to the Upcoming Opportunities for that ride. Click on ‘Volunteer Yourself’.
7. ‘I Want to Volunteer!’ page
   • Your name appears.
   • Enter preferred phone number.
   • Check that your email address is correct.
   • Click ‘Register’, then ‘Next’.
     
     
     
     
     
     
8. ‘I Want to Volunteer – Summary’ page – click ‘Finish’.
   
   
   
9. Your volunteer sign-up is emailed to the Ride Host Coordinator (Rick Walton) by Club Express.
10. Your name and telephone number as the Ride Host is entered on the ride description in the calendar.
    
11. You will receive an immediate confirmation by email and a later reminder from Club Express a day before your ride.
