TGIS Ride (Thank Goodness It's Spring) TGIS 2020 Is a 2-day ride starting in Marengo at 8:30 AM on Saturday, May 30th and going to Toledo for an overnight at the Designer Inn & Suites. We will return to Marengo on Sunday, May 31st, departing at 8:00 AM from the motel. TGIS is a loop ride on scenic Iowa low traffic byways. Saturday miles total 47.8 and Sunday miles are 42.2. We have planned SAG stops providing water and snacks and will transport your luggage to the motel. The cost will be $35.00 for members and $41.00 for non-members which includes SAG stops and the Saturday afternoon Happy Hour. The Designer Inn & Suites in Toledo is $77.28 for a double or single room. Call 877-484-5678 by May 19th and mention BIC to receive this special rate. Our Happy Hour will be held in the party room at the motel. Your Saturday and Sunday lunches and Saturday evening meal will be on your own. Restaurants are close to the motel for your evening dinner. Log into the BIC web site at bicyclistsofiowacity.org to sign up on Monday, March 23rd. The deadline for registering is May 20th at 12:00 PM. Cancellation deadline, with a $10.00 dollar fee, ends on May 26th at 12:00 PM. Maps and additional information will be emailed a week or so before the ride start date to those who have registered. We will not be handing out maps at ride start so please print your own maps to bring with you. RIDE WITH GPS links will be provided. You must be a BIC member and have signed up for the free account with RWGPS/BIC. The love and adventure of riding new roads makes this BIC tradition a must event to attend.
