Wednesday Night Social Ride - Iowa River Landing start, Sugar Bottom Loop

Another pre-RAGBRAI workout, with over 1,300 feet of climb on the strenuous hills on Sugar Bottom Road.

Meet in the South Parking Lot of Iowa River Landing. in Coralville. Head south on the Iowa River Corridor Trail to the dam, then east across the Iowa River through the Peninsula neighborhood, ride under Interstate 80, pass through Waterworks Park. Regroup before crossing Dubuque Street. Take Linder Road over to Prairie du Chien Road, Newport Road, Sugar Bottom, and Mehaffey Bridge Road. From North Liberty, we head back south on Dubuque Street, then Oakdale Boulevard, First Avenue, then back to the start at Iowa River Landing.

Riders' choice of dinner following the ride. Iowa River Landing offers several choices, or we can head to Casa Azul, just a few blocks south on First Avenue.
