Bicyclists of Iowa City Bike Shop Hop will start at Iowa City Big Grove at 8:00 AM on Sunday, September 11, 2022. An optional start will be Briar Ridge Bikes in Solon at 9:30 AM. Punch cards will be handed out at Big Grove at the start of the ride and at Briar Ridge Bikes if you choose to start there. This is a progressive bike ride visiting all five bike shops. The biking route is about 34 miles long. Please adhere to the schedule if you drive instead of biking the route. The Broken Spoke will not be participating.
Those stopping at all 5 shops will be eligible for five $50.00 bike shop certificates and a free pint of beer from I.C. Big Grove. The drawings for the certificates will be at the end of the ride at Big Grove. Spe
The shops will be sharing a 15-minute informative presentation about new equipment, trends in the biking world, shop events, and offers. Be sure to attend the presentations and get your card punched at each location.

Geoff‘s Bike and Ski- No presentation will be given. We will observe a "Moment of Silence" for Geoff‘s Mother who was killed in a bike/car accident. Her Celebration of Life is this Sunday. The shop will be open for us to visit.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes early at the Big Grove & Briar Ridge to sign in and get your punch cards. THERE WILL NOT BE A MAP FOR THIS RIDE.

10:00 am----Depart Briar Ridge & bike to Sugar Bottom- 325 N. Dubuque St. North Liberty (8.2 miles)
10:45 am-----Arrive Sugar Bottom
11:15 am-----Depart Sugar Bottom & bike to World of Bikes 723 S. Gilbert St. Iowa City (11 miles)

A shorter Wednesday Night Ride reflecting that it gets dark early. PLEASE BRiNG LIGHTS. We‘re sticking to safe routes, circling Iowa City: Start at Mondo‘s ReUnion Brewery, head east to Iowa River Power, cross the river, stay on Foster Road to Prairie du Chien Road, then south to North Dodge, Scott Boulevard to Highway 6 area, angle over toward McCollister Boulevard, and then loop back along Iowa River Corridor Trails to Mondo‘s. It‘s under 20 miles.

I am the host, Ken Wall. This ride starts at Water Works Park, Iowa City, just off Dubuque Street. The ride route takes us to Solon and retrace to Water Works Park a distance of about 27 miles. There is a bike path to ride to Mahaffey Bridge over the Iowa River, then a paved shoulder to Solon. We will turn around and retrace back to Water Works Park from Solon.
