Starting from Mondo‘s, we go north of Iowa City, through Iowa City, south toward the airport, then back to start. Route created in September 2021 by our club president, David Heitbrink.
Mondo's ReUnion Brewery & Restaurant
Our penultimate Wednesday Night Ride of the season. Keeping in mind that it gets dark early, PLEASE BRiNG LIGHTS. We‘re sticking to safe routes, circling Iowa City: Start at Mondo‘s ReUnion Brewery, head east to Iowa River Power, cross the river, ride through Peninsula Neighborhood to the passage under I-80, head through Waterworks Park to Linder Road, head right on Prairie du Chien Road to North Dodge, Scott Boulevard to Highway 6 area, angle over toward McCollister Boulevard, and then loop back along Iowa River Corridor Trails to Mondo‘s. It‘s roughly 20 miles. Dinner afterward, where else? Mondo‘s ReUnion. Celebrate the waning daylight of September.
I am the host, Ken Wall. This ride starts at Water Works Park, Iowa City, just off Dubuque Street. The ride route takes us to Solon and retrace to Water Works Park a distance of about 27 miles. There is a bike path to ride to Mahaffey Bridge over the Iowa River, then a paved shoulder to Solon. We will turn around and retrace back to Water Works Park from Solon.

It‘s starting to get dark out by the end of our ride, so we go a little shorter tonight and try to stay on trails rather than streets.
